Changchun Automobile Industry Institute(CAII) is one of the first 29 national demonstrative vocational colleges in the higher vocational construction project. In 2013, it has awarded as the leading vocational institute of Jilin Province. It is honored as the cradle of the automotive professionals. It was founded on the basis of Vocational School which was established by the FAW group corporation in 1952. With the development of the Chinese automotive industry, it has formed specific vocational education and training system.

In the continuing learning part, CAII takes automotive professionals cultivation as its own duty. It has set up multi-level lifelong learning platform which is able to fulfill different employees¡¯ demands. From 2000 until now, it has carried out party school, evening university, correspondence college, distance education, self-study examination, and master education to the FAW employees. Until now, it has provided further education for over 10,000 students and these students now has grown up to be the back stone of Chinese automotive industry..CAII was honored as ¡°Millions Cars Honored Group¡± and ¡°First Auto Excellent Group¡±. In September of 2011, it was announced as continuing higher education pilot; In July of 2012, it was announced as self-study service center; In September of 2013, it was honored as excellent study aid education institution of self-study and excellent test center of higher education self-study.

With years development, CAII has formed its own continuing education pattern based on the environment of Jilin and auto market demands. Currently, it has provided master degree training for 40 annually; it has provided self-study examination for 4000 on campus students annually; it has provided on-job training for 1,500 employees annually; It has made a great effort on ¡°open, high-level, international¡± top vocational college construction.
